    Jay Z did his best hotep impression on this album. I don't think he outdid Jay E. Jay E set the tone. The album was good, but it missed the energy of a Exhibit A/C, or the mystique of a Act I. The album was too ordinary for Jay E. We wanted a mystic wise guru dropping gems, and he did here and there (Universal Soldier, APIDTA), but the rest of the tracklist was more standard boom bap rap than anything. The album was missing this otherworldy, oriental tone Jay E had.

    Jay sabotaged his own album by waiting 18 years to put something out and then adding Jay-Z to it who then proceeded to renegade him throughout the project
