Rightfully so, I would feel slighted if someone dissed me and I helped put on.

It wasn’t a strong enough diss to reply to anyways, it was simply a name drop.

If it wasn’t a “strong enough diss” then why are you still talking about Control 8 years later.

Kendrick is a b**** for the BET freestyle and all those subliminals

  • Nov 16, 2021

Take Care cosign (Verse) and taking Kendrick on tour were huge for Dot...that's not even debatable. No way an artist that big takes you on your and it doesn't benefit you.

Nice deflection, it’s not the diss itself it’s principle. That’s why it still matters.

It would’ve been f***ed up if Kendrick only went after Drake specifically. But he went after Drake, Jermaine, Jay Elec, Mac Miller, Big Sean, Tyler, Wale, Big K.R.I.T etc etc

Like Christ it’s literally just rapping. Competing. The majority of the people listed understood that. He even said he got love for all of them, word for word. Drake had a very sensitive reaction to it and you definitely do too. It’s like the “Drake is the type of” memes write themselves in real life.

Yeah and Drake took the competition part to heart and dominated the game every f***ing year except 2017 when he took a break

  • Nov 16, 2021

    He definitely helped a lot

I don’t know what the point of your post is. Yeah Drake was successful commercially. He was successful before Control and he was after. That diss alone made little impact for Drakes overall trajectory. He was gonna be successful with or without it.

  • I don’t know how it’s been literally over 8 years since Control dropped and some of y’all are still salty about it. Drake literally hasn’t cared in years and got over it. The one actually being mentioned, not y’all living vicariously through him.

You don’t have a clue about respect do you

Nah it’s more than just rap, those other artist didn’t help out his career. Kendrick just came off as being ungrateful.

Ye still calls Jay his boss even though he surpassed him, showing the ultimate respect because what he did for his career.

This is why most Kendrick Stan’s are phony rap fans.

    Unforgivable

Kendrick already had a considerable amount of buzz due to SXN 80 and being signed to Dre

Drake helped somewhat I guess but nothing substantial

He was signed after TC tho
