Water GiverI dont get the hype of the album it doesnt slund all that to me and im a person that does like "out the box" and "artsy" music.
I dont get it. I tried to get into it a few times but its one of those times i feel completely disconnected.

LaFleurDef not a 10 even though it's a nice album.
Fiona herself has at least 2 other albums in her discog more deserving of this grade. The context in which they gave it to her was very suspect too as it seemed that they were just itching to erase the fact that MBDTF was the last one to earn a 10
I don’t think there’s that type of value in giving what’s more of a legacy act for this generation that rating. Idk why they wouldn’t give it to a Big Thief or FKA Twigs, women led acts that are fast rising in hype and general acclaim, if it was just Kanye erasure
Hell they gave Lana, Big Thief, and FKA 9.2s or better in 2019. I don’t think it would’ve been anything for them to reach and throw a 10 out there (although none of those projects are as dense topically as FTBC)

It was top 6 on metacritic with the most reviews out of any selection in the top 10. Significantly more reviews than most of the top 10. TPAB is really the only option to put over it in terms of acclaim
MBDTF also has the P4k 10, which for better or for worse, means significantly more to the general rating d*** rider than any similar platform

TPAB does have a 96/100 Metacritic but tbh MBDTF is up there too with a 94/100
