Yes racism didn’t exist before America. The Europeans were very friendly to the Africans and didn’t enslave anyone or segregate anything. Everyone also didn’t have to work because everything was free. Lots of rainbows around too it was a good vibe
I don’t think so , what about kids growing up in multiethnic neighborhoods? I never had or felt any animosity towards my Hispanic, Ethiopian, Korean friends. We all looked different but I don’t think I even understood what race was until I was like 6.
those of us who got lucky were socialized in environments where the adults have largely become aware of and socialized out/condemned racism.
i think people are uncomfortable with the idea we are naturally racist, so they see racism itself as being the socialized trait.
its a leftover evolutionary habit. in almost every human society, you will find racism currently/somewhere in its history.
