What I kept hearing was they considered it and occasionally they would go to higher ups and the higher ups would say the data doesn't match or meet up with certain ideas or demand. I only heard budgets when it came to directly porting older games like the world games, story games, wonder swan games, and decoded. World 2 and 3 wasn't mentioned, but he definitely did say that a Digimon world 1 remake or remaster is in consideration and that the only issue is what do they want to do with it. Remake it or remaster it. Habu then went on to explain that a remaster wouldn't be an issue, but a remake would have to be created from the ground up and figured out how to modernize the game play.
The world game that came out on PS4 isn't really that good and you tell that it was very clearly a PS Vita port. They didn't even bother to remove certain things that was Vita focused. It also didn't sell as well as the Digimon story Cyber Sleuth games. That's why Habu said "We would have to figure out how to modernize the gameplay to appeal to newer generations".
They definitely danced around certain questions and left some questions open ended that a lot of fans didn't like. But you can obviously tell Habu is listening and that's why he said keep on demanding games.

I would rather just them cash in on nostalgia and port the original trilogy and call it a day. Trying to emulate 3 (at least on psp) is an annoying ass process.

See I don't think it's the matter of them being broken. I don't think they want to release them in the state they're in. Digimon world 2 & 3 aren't broken. I think the issue is really Digimon world 1 and it's models. The models for that game are held together by toothpicks and rubber bands. So porting it might be an issue. I remember a few years ago how the Digimon world 1 game use to run horribly on PC. Models would break
Get a PS Vita
it runs PSP emulation and runs the games better. Some Ps1 games also could be ported straight to the Vita when hacked The Digicon just made me want Survive again. Being able to play with Digimon we really ever see in Digimon media will be amazing.

It’s funny you say this because I actually just copped a Vita 2 days ago im waiting to come in the mail and im trying to sell my hacked psp to re coup some of the money lol
im actually really curious why the trilogy runs so bad on emulation. Do they run better on Vita? Huge selling point to justify me impulsively doing it instead of buying an OLED Switch like I wanted to (I already have a regular and a lite just want to upgrade my regular so I can give the other to s friend)I’m definitely a lot more excited for survive especially knowing the length. The only thing I hate about it dropping this year possibly is it dropping in a year I’m playing triangle strategy and advance wars as well 😭

Yeah I remember having so many issues when getting Digimon world 1 and 3 to work on my PSP. When I bought a vita it worked perfectly fine and I didn't need a specific custom OS just to get DW3 to work.
Yeah I know for a fact Digimon world 1 can be broken if the resolution is to high and cause models to freak out. That's just one issue, if the game doesn't agree with the emulation the partner Digimon will start to melt when idol instead of doing it's idol animation. Digimon world 3 has a weird checksum that causes it to not start on certain emulators. Digimon world 2 is the only one I know that doesn't have any issues. I think they would more so want to make the gameplay easier instead of having it be super grindy.
Hopefully it drops over the summer like June. Summer is usually the dry season for games.

Story looks like it proceeds similar to a visual novel but the gameplay is there. Hopefully there’s not an imbalance.

They started to put pre-order pages back up. The pre-order pages had a date of June 2022. So it could release late summer or fall.

Digimon deserve better games
Maybe I’m biased (I am) but Digimon has very few misses Imo. There are definitely some flat out bad digimon games but most are great imo. I’d say we need more accessible games than better
