Damn now im curious af about the true ending, and if the story changes too much with the characters alive

Got through part 4, and i got the feeling the dude with the Lopmon is the one dying, too obvious with how he treating and how it doesnt have an evolution. He gets on my nerves but after they did the Ryu death, i think s\*\*\* might kinda hit

This game is pretty much how Digimon Adventure season 1 would have happened if it happened to real life kids. It's no plot convenience to explain what Digimon are and it shows what would really happen if kids don't take Digimon seriously. Like everything bad that happens are plot points from season 1 that gets plot convenience. Like the part you're at now is a plot point from when Tai tries to force Agumon to evolve to his ultimate level but instead got skullGreymon. If it was realistic skullGreymon would have ate or killed Tai.

Only thing i remeber about the anime aside from the characters and the important digimon is literally the dark digievolution skullgreymon thing so idk if there are more parallelisms like that

Game just hooked me fr after this chapter, got me theorizing and s*** and i have the feeling s*** is about to go down

also after i finish the game i need to see what they do to Shuuji character in NG+, because at least with Ryo they didnt make him THAT bad, but this nigga insuferable on god

Yep it's more parallelism. Like Chapter 8 for example, when you finish the game you'll see especially if you go back and watch the anime. You'll be like "Oh s*** Survive did that same thing just darker." Even the Digimon picked all are parallel to the original 8 kids.

Shuuji actually become redeemed. I understand why he became the way he is because he never knew what compassion was. He was physically and mentally abused by his father.

Just finished the game and i will say its a pretty great game. An 8-8.5 game for me.

Honestly i think the biggest flaws on the game are the gameplay parts not being that fleshed out because of being a heavy story game (dont have a problem with this, but after finishing it, i wouldnt mind playing a more gameplay oriented, and more centered in letting the player choose and evolve what digimons they want instead of this many story digimons. I played the game basically using all the story digimons, and its very rare that the game also had space for the free battle ones). I think free battles are cool but i honestly stopped recruiting digimons after chapter 3 or 4 because of having so many story ones.

The other notorious flaw for me its that exploring kinda gets overwhelming and boring after some time. Like after some chapters there are a lot of sites you can go, so you explore every site, then there is a story bit and then more sites to explore and actually almost every zone gets hidden things again. I think when there is a big surprise like getting the evolution stone in the shrine or you get the original 8 digimons its rewarding and fun, but trying to get everything gets annoying tbh and i would rush to the story parts.

The story is very well written, dark in a good way and i really liked the early and mid game parts. Like you can feel the tension and how they are kids getting to explore this unknown world, and there are some fantastic twists that get you hooked. The ending i got, Moral, its fine but also very typical, nothing that surprised me . I need to check what changes in the true ending tho.

Will check Cyber Sleuth after this, and i recommend this game a lot. Its great but it is story focused. AguGOAT is the best character tho

Got another Digi-head . Definitely check out Cyber Sleuth and Hackers Memory if this game was enjoyable. Those games are addicting because of the digivolution mechanic. If you like those then give Digimon World: Next Order a try.

I definitely agree with the battle system it's probably the worst part. But they added in a auto battle system so the battles basically play themselves. So after awhile I just turned that on. We need more auto battle systems in RPGs not going lie lol. I feel like the battle system is not as fleshed out because this is just a side project. It was never meant to get the attention it got. It was something Habu, the director of Digimon games always wanted to do since Visual Novel games are popular in Japan.

Yeah the exploration side can get repetitive after awhile. I would have loved that the further you get in the story the shorter exploration become.

Definitely a 8.5 from me.

They actually did it like that with the free time, like every time you had less time to talk with everyone. Should did it for exploration too

Didnt use the skip feature, wanted to read every dialogue i came across. The auto feature sometimes i used it, when i wanted to do something else like text or check something as i was reading the story. Did u use them?

I used the auto skip during those scenes where I had to build affinity. Felt like they were nuisance text. Like asking how someone felt or what do we do now.

Not sure why I was expecting Cherubimon instead of Wendigomon but that was crazy. They definitely made it easy to dislike his partner this first playthrough.

played cyber sleuth like 20 hours back then in august and im about to return to the game

I f*** with it, was specially hooked with collecting digimons tho as the game advances it become more annoying trying to level up lots of digimon (also the CAM thing) so i ended up using the same 3.

It was fun tho, i would like to see a similiar digimon game with some QOL improvements and with a more focused story and some more depth to the game

Digivolving is honestly a consistent tedious problem in the series since the original World games. Cyber Sleuth is annoying but tolerable for me compared to Digimon World 1 & 2 lol.

Damn if its worse than cybersleuth (that like u said is annoying already but torelable) then that s*** might be ass
