Random, I know. IMHO, they both have the best discographies in Hip-Hop. I didn't want to make it a Ye vs. Hov, because I already know who the majority would go with.

I would like to here reasoning on why Ghostface discog would be considered better, he definitely has a strong discography (strongest in the wu) but I don't see it matching up to hov who has 3 certified classics and a few more that are debatable

2006 alone, fashscale > kingdom come

    Ghostface Killah easily lmao

Hov has higher highs of course but Ghostface more consistent. Hov has lower lows too
I'll just nearly give it to HOV but thats saying a lot about Ghost

    Unwound

Ghostface has one of the most consistent rap discographies

I listen to GFK’s 3 classics more than hov’s classics, plus then there’s purple tape and part 2 and the Wu albums but jay probably has more solo albums I listen to regularly than GFK if we look at the entire discography

    Would y‘all consider OB4CL a Rae & Ghost album?

Ghostface Killah has 3 certified classics, too

    Supreme Clientele, Iron Man, Fishscale

And a few more that are debatle are The Pretty Tooney Tape & Bulletproof Wallets.

And that‘s just his solo work

If we add the Clan‘s work we have 36 Chambers, Wu Tang Forever and arguably The W.

That‘s 4-5 certified classics with 3 arguable classics and if you‘re a Ghostface stan you could probably have other albums that you can put in that discussion as well.

Plus Ghostface has maybe 1-2 misses. And Jigga…

To me, I’d count it if we consider Ironman and bulletproof wallets to be in that category as well

I see your point, and I wouldn't hold it against anybody adding OB4CL to his discography since he's featured on almost every song. I just think hovs classics are more important considering how well known they are. Definitely respect ghost's consistency, but hov proved you can still be at the top of your game over 20 years after his debut

No duds in Ghostface's discography, man.

Jay-Z‘s benefit is just that he‘s more iconic imo. Still one of the GOATS tho

Thats true that the fact he is more well known makes it easier for his albums to be more appreciated vs ghosts

Not really, it’s kinda like the jay/jay elec album, he is on the majority of tracks though and even has a solo track. Pretty much like a duo album but Rae is defiantly the “headliner”

    this album was always underrated

Ya know, I guess Hov does have records like that-

with R Kelly and Beyonce and they suck

  • Ghost doesn't have a Reasonable Doubt (although he's on a lot of (OB4CL). But Jay doesn't have a Supreme Clientele.

Jay has a better discography, but Jay couldn't make a Supreme Clientele

  • Jun 13, 2021

both have great discographies, I like Jay more as a rapper but who has the better discography...

jay has about 4 albums I REALLY fux with and ghost has 5

    ghostface wins
