Back in 06 I would, but like it's been said, that album aged gracefully and made more sense as I got older. His worst album is between Blueprint 3 and MCHG.
Yep, that’s the two I’d say, probably MCHG but BP3 trash too

blueprint 3 has some really cool songs though
LOL

oh yeah probably I just like some of them because of the features
don't really pay attention to the jay z parts

As much as I praise for GFK at every given chance, I'm gonna have to give it to Hov. You?

Tbh all I can remember without looking at the track list was the amount of times he said he had more numbers 1’s than Elvis etc and the NY song with Alicia keys

Hov is top 3 for me, GFK is top 10, although I’d probably chose to listen to Ironman and SC over any Hov album, overall I’d go for hov, the maritime that GFK hasn’t dropped a dud is incorrect IMO, he’s had a couple as has hov
Kingdom Come got better with time. This s*** sounds even worse now than it did in 2019.
The first half of that album is really strong

I agree. The only duds from that album are Anything, Hollywood and Trouble.

Remember when hov, pharrell and usher were gonna do an album, that s*** would’ve ended up sounding ass IMO

With all due respect, I've always thought Hov and Usher had awful chemistry. Pharrell couldn't save that trainwreck. I'm going over Hov's discography right now and I'm very disappointed in Vol. 2. It hasn't aged we at all and The Dynasty lowkey might be my least fav Hov project.

I’ve never liked volume 2 that much and find it overrated on here, the dynasty isn’t his best but it does have a handful of great tracks IMO, intro, change the game, streets is talking, can’t be life, soon you’ll understand, where have you been. It’s probably somewhere in the middle of his discog for me

It's the production on Vol. 2 that doesn't sit well with me. At one point I consider it one of his masterpieces but I must've been blinded by the hits or something. They dont outweigh the filler as much as I remembered. The Dynasty has its fair share of highlights but as ironic as this sounds (being a Cali native) I could do without all the west coast songs. I really hate Jay over the style of production and I'd much rather hear him on east coast production.

Yep the production on vol 2 isn’t good, too much of the swizz type s*** for me. He wasted the primo beat on bleek, easily the best beat on the album and while reservoir dogs is a good posse cut and I have always enjoyed hard knock life, the rest of it sounds worse than it did even back then
Agree with him sounding better in east coast s*** though, never really liked his southern influences s*** all that much either

it's crazy how similar your taste is to mine i hate the fact that hov didn't use that premo beat on himself. memphis did nothing to prove his case with it and hov is a f***in fool for trying to make it seem like bleek was the better version of himself. When it comes to style and flavor, I'm a new yorker at heart. Give me some jazz / soul samples over dusty drums and I'm happy. Not saying Hov needs to rap over that but my Top 5 on Dynasty are Intro, This Can't Be Life, Stick 2 the Script, Soon You'll Understand and Where Have You Been. If he would've rapped more over that style of production this album could've been one of my favs
