This ain't it, Chief. It's a nice narrative but Drake's "art" is always ALWAYS inauthentic, You said it yourself, It's Drake making a Virgil album. This is Drake once again using his gift for seeing the pulse of culture and taking advantage of it to benefit only himself. Who is Drake? He's a nothing person, CULTURE VULTURE.
Musically it's nothing, It's hollow and you can craft a narrative around it based on Drake's image if you look at this album in a bubble. I'm not surprised by this album at all, It's not as SHOCKING as people make it out to be.
I think it's an issue of the art audience views the artist as a constant, It's why so many artists try to remake and fail by trying to fit the image of their past self instead of remaining fluid.
Drake is an excellent business man, an excellent showman, an excellent performer but he is not an artist, as an artist is a vessel for creation akin to the womb
Worst thread of the year contender
Nah nigga, give me the award now, I don't contend
album for fellas that push narratives
OP came up with "Dishonestly, Assured" and decided he needed to write a thread around it
There are barely any countries on earth rn where it’s an acceptable time to post a thread as completely garbage as this one
People called jay z a future vulture and now he’s top 3
Disclaimer: I’m not saying the drake album is good
is this fwt?
you just couldn't stay away huh

Actually I watched a review declaring this album a "work of art" and describing this as a great artistic achievement for Drake.
That name is the last thing I came up with to make the title provocative
So @Icaphxxxx , since you got all the answers, what does Drake have to do in order to create something ''authentic''?
