I actually love doing the laundry and steaming/organizing clothes

Kinda cathartic especially with music on

Doing laundry is barely a chore. You put it in then walk away for an hour. It’s truly the lazy man’s chore

That’s not true. I cook a lot of chicken, and I take care of people that are high risk so the dishwasher gives me peace of mind that everything’s properly cleaned.

Also saving a little money on the water bill is good and not bad

Yeah tbh @op you should check if there’s a self-clean function in your dish washer. If not you can put vinegar in the soap dispenser and run it empty to help clean it.

People that hate dishwashers are dry-snitching because the only time it "doesn't work" is if they're just throwing it in there without rinsing the dishes or are placing them in it incorrectly.

Sounds like someone doesn't clean their washer or have the correct plumbing layout set up. Water should not pool, food should be cleaned out, and use dish washer cleaner every two months to rinse out everything.
