Lol funny thread. I don't use mine at the crib but we used it some years back when I shared an apt with roommates.

Thing is people don't know you need to rinse and clean the dishes to a certain degree before placing them in there as the machine is powerful but doesn't scrub.

Now I hate doing dishes in general whether using the machine or not lol

Doing dishes is a bottom tier chore but sum that feels zen to it. You are there minding a task while the background noise is happening, be it family, a crowd or even by yourself you can still make out the surrounding. For a moment you are in an isolated space, disconnected from the world. The awareness that you are doing it when others are not up to it adds to the whole feeling. But then someone interrupt you and add more s*** to your pile of work

Good take. I never even use nonpaper plates cups or bowls unless im entertaining. F*** all that.

People hate on paper plates but plates are like half the damn dishes if you don’t use paper plates.

I am all about the paper plates

If I lived alone, I would probably just wash my own dishes by hand. In a house occupied by 3-4 people with jobs who don't all enjoy washing dishes like I do, it's pretty useful.

  • Jun 3, 2025

I’ve actually never used a dishwasher

  • Jun 3, 2025

Whenever I have friends over and theres a legion of dishes leftover best believe I put em in the dishwasher

Your doing it wrong if dishes don't come out clean

    But yes this.

You actually have to clean the dishwasher itself sometimes.

  • M To the Ozu

They do not work, smell disgusting, everything that comes out needs to be washed again. Seriously, how am I supposed to take a person seriously if he doesn’t even have the discipline to properly clean the mess he himself made

type of family I had, the dishwasher is just another cabinet
