Am i being cheap, or is it ridiculous that you pay for a streaming service and still have to pay for their movies
You have to consider how much money was spent making the film with a targeted worldwide cinema release. Even with the $30 they probably won't get near what they could have made, and they definitely wouldn't have gotten it just from additional sign ups of their regular service to watch this

If they dropped it on regular PVOD it would've been $30 regardless, they're just cutting out the middleman
LMAOOOOO imagine paying $30 to watch a movie
Oh wait it's a $30 rental and not a purchase/unlock?
just a few hours to download it for free b

na bro i would never go to an IMAX theatre in a big city lol that’s just common sense
So it’s still Tenet vs Mulan, I‘m really excited to find out what movie makes more money and what it means for the industry.
This may be a smart move in the long run
A lot fo people subbed to D+ are families

I mean it's an example
realistically i can see 15mil paying so that would be $450,000,000 directly to them
Profit of about $25-50mil during a pandemic would be good
I'm not tryna hear people complain about this being behind Disney+ if they're okay with how Disney locks $65 UFC PPVs behind ESPN+
30 dollars wtf. Plus the subscription.
But it feels good watching a new movie at home. Specially now.

You think one in four Disney plus subscribers are gonna pay for Mulan? I think a big portion of subscribers are teenage/ young adults that are into marvel or SW n have an appreciation for the brand and maybe half are families. I think one in four families is still a lot, maybe possible, but $30 for a remake in a recession is wild
