Definitely not.
Bone Thugs is a GOAT group that sold a lot of records but suffered from marketing and branding.
If Eazy-E was still living, he would have helped branded them much better.
Wu-Tang Clan, Outkast, G-Unit, Dipset, NWA, etc. all have branding and marketing that has kept their legacies alive even when they weren't active in music anymore.
After Eazy died, Bone never really expanded their brand beyond being fast, melodic spitters from Cleveland. None of the individual members of the group are really iconic enough to stand out on their own and make a name for themselves and that's why they've gotten overlooked over time. And it's sad to see.
They were still doing big things once Eazy passed away.
They were featured on the Batman soundtrack.
They even had Strength & Loyalty where they worked with a lot of big mainstream artist.
But I see what you’re saying as well.
this
like not even pac and biggie are getting the same respect anymore
They only got the hype they did because they passed prematurely. There are much better projects in the 90’s than their discography.
Liquid Swords, OB4CL, 36 Chambers, Tical, Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, The Infamous, Hell On Earth, Doggystyle, 2001

this the s*** i'm talkin bout
THEY WERE THE BIGGEST NAMES IN THE GAME WHEN THEY PASSED
you can't say they only hyped because they died early when they were literally on top
you can say you like other projects better, but that's disrespectful af.
I agree OP. They barely get mentioned these days anymore, feel like Three 6 has overtaken them in status/public perception

Not to be that guy but his avi is of Mao Zedong lol
Is your name a chief keef reference?
Even then the love for Three 6 overshadowed Bone Thugs’.
See this thread for example
SpaceGhostPurrp did this song with Krayzie and Bizzy
!https://youtu.be/23P6kmsxR7AThis song really was a gem
To be very honest, if spaceghostpurrp and lil ugly mane never "revived" the three 6 mafia sound in the early 2010s and they never made sippin on some syrup, both groups would be on the same level of praising... Prolly bone thugs would even get more props cus of that eazy e boost and e99 was an actual great album

You don’t think their deaths had anything to do with the reason people call them the best ever, as if it was blasphemous to suggest otherwise? What about when people add Eazy-E as a top 3 rapper ever?
I’m not trying to be edgy or diss the 3 because they earned their respect. But people shouldn’t automatically parrot “Tupac and Biggie” as it’s the only correct answer.
What about Method Man, Nas, Jay-Z, Eminem, GZA or Kendrick etc?
Top 3 rap group of all time and made a top 20 song of all time of any genre with crossroads
“This flow come from migos, they got it from bone thugs, they got it from three six” - 2 Chainz
This song really was a gem
SpaceGhostPurrp was in his bag back in the days. Love the beat.
