No. I could be born in alot of places that have horrific living conditions.
It is by no means perfect but I love this place.
I'm just angered by the political warfare I see now. I hope that we can move forward after this election and things aren't so heated.
But America is a fantastic country, it's the govt that is the problem.
trying to imagine where global culture and geopolitics would be without America
I've lived in America for most of my life and I'll say no. The people are disproportionately friendly and neighborly compared to most others, and it's easier to make a decent life here in comparison to a lot of other places. There isn't really a unified American culture outside of maybe commerce, so the people can feel a bit "thin" or vapid compared to people from proud, "deep" cultures, but they're generally nice and well meaning anyhow.
I do hate how spread out and sprawling America is, it makes most places look ugly and liminal. In a lot of pre-industrial european cities you can just walk outside and find something to do- if you walk outside in America you're like 9 miles from anything interesting.
Random things I like: probably the most impressive university system in the world, culturally everyone follows their lead so america sets the standard for what's cool/acceptable, the entire allied world depends on their defense (makes all other countries look like their little baby brothers), unusually permissible freedom of speech, list goes on
Don’t hate but over the years I’ve gotten multiple citizenships I just don’t feel like like dying in the US. It’s not my purpose

Probably in a better place
I do not f*** with America
I get it straight off the boat
