I assume you grew up with Muslim parents who probably forced Islam on you. This is usually what kids who were forced into a religion say. I’ve heard this exact phrase for years about every religion there is.

I'm very selective at this point in what I subscribe to as far as Christianity goes.

The religion of Christianity has churned out a lot of backwards ass people and many purported Christians are a straight up embarrassment, but I think the core teachings of Christ are great and something I adhere to.

Everything else...idk, does it really matter like that? The disciples weren't Old Testament scholars. They were, like, fishermen and tax collectors. I'm just trying to treat people right and practice self sacrifice in my own way. That's why I look at some Christians and wonder wtf they're reading.

You can’t. Because religion is by definition both impossible to prove and impossible to disprove. That’s the entire reason why belief in God is called “faith” and modern-day science stays away from religion. Because the scientific method is impossible when talking of an intangible being. And because at the same time just because something is intangible does not necessarily mean it does not exist.

Def question things, everytime I have religion/belief convos with family I always bring up the 'right now there's a Muslim family talking about Islam being right (my family) but there's also a Chritsian family doing the same thing and a Jewish family and a Sikh family and an Athiest family' etc etc

I'm catholic, so at least they believe the bible's stories are allegories. But I even stopped believing that when I was in the 10th grade. When you do research on religions you will learn it is all bs. We don't know anything about what happens after we die and no man made answer at this point is right.

If you're actually in the 7th grade or a higher grade and think the things the bible says are true then idk what to even tell you. At that point you need help from people that deprogram people in cults etc because it's the same thing.

Born and raised christian, had questions till I decided religion wasn’t my thing, there was a bitterness towards it at first but the unknown is scary and its understandable how religion fixes that.

But I have faith in certain things that cross paths with religious beliefs. Wouldnt say blind faith though. Nothing is certain and I welcome all possibilities.

Right. Idk what sect you are. But I was a confirmed catholic, had my doubts once I reached middle school and gave it up in highschool. It's scary to think one day you might just not exist, but that is a question every race since advanced cavillations has asked and likely hasn't gotten right. If anything we should believe the older religions, but we don't for some reason and make what they believe into blockbuster summer movies.
