Do some of y’all never take a step back and wonder if you hadn’t been raised to believe what you believe since birth, if you’d still be a devote Muslim/Christian whatever? A lot of what we think we know is just a product of the environment we were raised in

I grew up Christian and eventually became a nihilist. And then I became a Muslim by choice. But yes you should constantly ask yourself questions and question your faith so that you can know if you believe out of fear or out of Fear of God.
The difference is that fear is just being afraid of questioning your faith because of conditioning to never ask questions when you were a child
Fear of God isn’t literally fearing God and his wrath but having faith out of reverence and respect for His power.
Religion has everything to do with politics. Islamic views on society are objectively conservative.
And science disproves religion????
What the f*** what school did you go to? Show me one example of where science indisputably disproved the existence of God.
Seriously just ONE example.
You can’t. Because religion is by definition both impossible to prove and impossible to disprove. That’s the entire reason why belief in God is called “faith” and modern-day science stays away from religion. Because the scientific method is impossible when talking of an intangible being. And because at the same time just because something is intangible does not necessarily mean it does not exist.
I thought that since you apparently have a college education you would’ve learned that years ago but I suppose you haven’t.

I don't have blind faith in anything and I feel like religion wouldnt do a thing to make me feel better
It ain't about the symbols and the prophets, but the underlying universal truth that that they all share.
Problem with religious belief systems is they're all dogmatic. Most people are looking at it backwards.
Instead of looking at the things that they share like the golden rule, we fight over the customs, people, and culture. My friend cannot accept Islam at all because Christ said he's the only way. And I'm like "yeah truth is the only way, Christ is one path to that" but he's been so indoctrined into his tribe that he refuses to let his guard down
It is possible to find truth, peace and enlightenment through any path. The paths are not God, they are man made maps.
