there's no universe in which Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic or Characters are better than Bey's last 3 solo albums...that's just clear bias right there
obviously the peak albums from MJ, Prince, and Stevie are better than Bey's, but i think what im trying to say is that when it comes to icon status, Beyonce is slowly getting up there
depending on the way these next 2 albums are received, we'll see

The other countries definitely do maybe not latin countries but the rest do look at beyonce in a high light not mj level tho

US, Canada and some parts of Europe. But her numbers in Asia, Middle East and Latin America are not that strong at all. Still a legend, but not quite MJ/Prince level legend

gabapentini mean its not really something that can be logically argued or proven like a mathematical equation at its root though... thats not to say that because something is a cultural consensus the culture cant change to recognize a new consensus but, i mean, if people "feel" that MJ is in a completely different league or oldheads feel like no good new rap music has been released since the shiny suit era, you can't logic and debate them into a different belief
I’m not trying to say we should be arguing or debating I’m just encouraging people to think for themselves before they present an opinion instead of automatically echoing the popular opinion or cultural consensus like it’s fact or law when it’s really still just an opinion
The only fact based debate you could have between any two artist is who had more of what: sales, hits, grammys, high album review scores from major pubs that have been around since then etc.
Jan 30, 2023ehh it’s not an unreasonable notion all things considered…it’s not really fair but I do hold artist that have that spirit of alchemy through music in higher regard with some exceptions of people who have an insane voice or what have you, where they elevate any & everything—being capable of making remarkable music from nothing is a crazy, crazy talent
