I would tell this to your face with 3 inches apart from kissing and tell you cause I really don't give a f*** about you or who you are or your beliefs at this point. I am o ly telling you from what I've listened and heard about, Beyonce is not that person musically, she just used music to further herself. She is a part of the culture but that's nothing in relation to her as a musical artist.

Coachella, one of the biggest ongoing festival in the world, had Beyonce perform, and for what? What spawned afterwards? What did folks try to replicate or think or do? Wouldn't hold a candle to Saft Punk's Alive which revitalized the electronic genre and emphasis on visual and audio working together..

The clearest point is we are discussing Beyonce in the league of these people. You want to move the goal post to encompass other artists that were booming in the era. Like Led Zeppelin didn't exist, Bowie, Floyd, Gaye, Velvet Underground, Jim Morrison,

And I clearly said Concept albums boomed post GKMC, not once did I say they never existed prior or wasn't a thing until Kendrick said it.

But we're talking about the subject here. Prince, Beyonce, Stevie and MJ.

Again, she is a brand, easy for folks to listen and accept but her music is not that deep or expansive for how long she has been going on these last few decades.

She played her cards right and made the right moves so now she can't do any wrong in anyone's eyes and spawn folks like you to defend her, which only further splits outsiders and those listening.

So yeah, I have an agenda but that comes from experience, listening, growing up in multiple eras and decades of music to tell me who deserves to be on that prestige podium of RNB greats.

Beyonce is not there. Maybe in 10 years, where she can create something entirely unique and personal to her as death comes knocking, because post glitter, glam and pop, she can think about something that cements her legacy.

She kinda reminds me of Em in that regard where the artist is very skilled, has dropped some undeniable classics but the catalog as a whole is just eh and since their image is being an untouchable artist people think of them more highly than they really are. I just listened through Em‘s discography and while his first 3 albums are great (and nothing more), his other albums are just hot trash but since he/the label built his image of "being the best rapper alive" many people outside of the hip hop base think he is lol

I don't care how it "works". Three album of the year grammy wins in four years is how it works. Like I said, no one is matching his golden run of albums. It literally hasn't been matched. That's not an opinion.
