you better not be a drake/kanye stan saying this lol
I can listen to whoever I want and it doesn't change the fact you pitted artists who played their own instruments and produced their own songs opposed to someone who can hold a note and put on a good show

MJ?

Drake writes and he writes for others...

Why you say ‘put on a good show’ like that’s not a huuuuuuuumongos part of music like almost the whole point to be able to enjoy in the moment w a mass of fellow enjoyers all feeling the performer’s emotions and energy concerts are literally what spread the idea of musical legends for ppl in mass society and live music in general
if she goes on some sort of Stevie Wonder 3-peat with the next 2 acts, then i think she's definitely solidified
kind of a hot take but i think she already has a 3 peat that’s on par with self titled, lemonade, and renaissance
MJ?
while MJ didn't play instruments on his tracks he laid down rhythms vocally

You say Justin Bieber-I say ACDC
You say Miley Cyrus-I say Led Zepplin
You say T-Pain-I say Slipknot
You say Flowers-I say Metallica
You say Pink-I say Iron Maiden
You say Hip Hop-i say shut the ---- up
You say Pop-I scream Heavy Metal!!
You say hanah montana-i ------- punch you in the face
92% of teenagers have turned to Hip Hop and Pop. If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this message to another 5 videos.
DON'T LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK DIE!
idk if 4 to renaissance is too close to music of my mind to songs of key of life
especially since stevie did that in like 4 years. plus he was 22 for music of my mind
while MJ didn't play instruments on his tracks he laid down rhythms vocally
All I'm hearing is the voice IS an instrument and it is instrumental in the studio
MJ?
MJ would construct the entire song, vocals, instruments and adlibs on a 4 track recorder then hand it to his producer to recreate
Missed that part completely
MJ would construct the entire song, vocals, instruments and adlibs on a 4 track recorder then hand it to his producer to recreate
This is sooooooo disrespectful to Quincy Jones, man

Bruh we accidentally took the bait of a Beyonce stan thread it's not worth it, there's no reason or debate
This is sooooooo disrespectful to Quincy Jones, man
It’s not, I’m telling you exactly what he did even while working with Quincy. Quincy even said he did this to him
you mentioned people who wrote their own music vs someone who has collaborated at most, while her talent is undeniable, c'mon man
Madonna is 2 tiers down too? What's the second tier?
keeping it to solo artists, i’d put artists like kanye and elton john who i think are slightly more accomplished as album artists but still tier below that highest echelon in terms of impact
it’s really splitting hairs with legends of this caliber but that’s how i see it
No, she's a step below as far as artistry/discography goes when we're talking about the top tier GOATs. MJ was a better hitmaker than basically anyone and has Off the Wall/Thriller/Bad under his belt. Prince and Stevie are two of the most talented musicians to ever live and made two of the greatest discographies of all time with minimal outside help. No, Beyonce isn't that good.
She's still a living legend though.
She's overrated
