I miss the cd booklets those were so cool sometimes

this is true and the statistics prove it, but whats hot one year is not the next. this could be a good thing for people who collect vinyl though...if the demand isn't there like what it used to be, then prices could come down

And I know that's kind of a boomer thing to say but idk it feels so much more special to go out buy a record look at the art the liner notes and then putting it on, feels so nostalgic

Still very cool to be able to access anything u wish to listen to in an instant but it also makes music feel more disposable somehow

yeah its cool to see the value of all my vinyls appreciate. makes me feel like a god of music taste

Don't think so. I am wondering if this streaming era is the final form of music consumption though.

all those enhanced CDs you'd put in the computer back in the day used to have cool little bonuses outside of the music

Or even just going to the store looking at CDs and picking one or two up just because u like the artwork is super fun

YES plastic Beach is such a great exemple like that's one of the few times it felt actually worth buying a digital release, it's sad it didn't influence more people to do similar things

man you're not far off from an idea i had when i was a kid. i had this concept in my head that you'd buy some headphones and put like an SD card in it...how naive i was lol

idk if it's just a me thing or what, but i have much more restraint skipping songs when i listen to a CD than streaming

Maybe to collect them but not in terms of listening to music. It wouldn't make sense.

a lot of these kids buying records dont have turntables either, they're just wall art to them. i'm sure they'll find a new angle to collect CDs
