    I believe the initial landing was faked so as to assert cultural and technological significance/dominance over the rest of the world early on. But I believe the US definitely made it to the moon for real some years after that.

    american space program been downsized since the breakup of the soviet union, sold off slowly to the private sector. too bad space exploration isn't profitable.

    Neil Armstrong flew back to earth safely in this tincan in the 1960s without turning to a burning crisp...

    Just 9 years before no one ever even been to space but mfs managed to build a flying ship that can go across space...

    and now NASA admittedly forgot how to build it the original blueprints/documents dont exist anymore
