i dont carry cash
i do offer to buy a meal if i have the time but its very rare that i do
I only see those when I travel so not really. Even the homeless aren’t doing too bad in my city. The last beggar I can remember seeing was like 5 years ago.
Most of my life if I offered to buy a meal instead of cold hard cash, they’d refuse. So f*** em

I get approached by them without fail near Madison Square Park
I’ll give them my trash from food to throw away in case there’s anytbjng in my bag that I left over or that they could use, but I’ll never give them money just so they can buy d****
No. No real reason except I don’t feel comfortable doing so.
I actually carry 1s in my wallet to give to the homeless. Most of them open doors and ask for change at stores and its only a few buck so f*** it.
I don't care what the use it for, they'll need those spare cents/dollars more than I ever will
I always give cash to people who ask me in the parking lot or outside the gas station
But for some reason my first thought is f*** you when i see someone standing with a sign
F*** no I don’t give bums money.
There are places for them to get food and basic necessities. The only thing they really need cash for is booze/drugs.
Had this dude ask me for a dollar once. Took my wallet out, man saw a 5 dollar bill and man said “actually I’ll take the 5” I gave him the 5 but was the last time I ever gave money.
No, not to come off sounding like that guy, but you always have to remember that most homeless people are living the way that they are because of the bad decisions that they made in life, and you handing stuff to them directly is only going to enable them to continue making those bad decisions.
Because you're essentially rewarding them for it. Do some research on whatever charities actually help and do that instead.
I don't like carrying coin change so I either throw it in the garbage or give it to a homeless person just camping out in the street if there isn't a tip jar in the store itself.
The people who aggressively approach me as I leave a store or interrupt my subway commute with yelled speeches or dance/music shows will never get anything from me.
I don't think these people count as beggars but I always give money (actual bills) to street performers or those performing inside the subway station (not within train cars) if I enjoy them. Anywhere from $5-20 depending on how dope they are.

Not every homeless person begging
