I agree @op
He did terrible things and is beyond redemption, but I still can't bring myself to celebrate his execution.
@OP you're right.
Everyone is talking bout "it's always been like this, this is the way it is" and all that and not seeing how it correlates with how effed up the world is.
We are capable of intelligence that surpasses any other animal on earth and yet we continue to compare ourselves to animals
And yet, this is what our society is built on. Justice is punishment. Education is not priority. Look at the jail system and cancel culture, both different extremes of the same thing.
But the truth is, we will never get to a stage where justice is education until we as a society stop letting ourselves be so separated by every little thing. You got people fighting over which country they are from. Then in that country people fight over which city they are from. Then in that city people fight over which part of the city they are from. It's absolutely ridiculous and primitive and humans won't advance until they step out of their animal nature and into a higher intelligence.
Someone else's views doesn't define them. We are all just mostly doing the best we can based off the information we have and not all of our information recieved is the same. More compassion is needed.
P.S. ....Stop watching the f***ing news. You ain't gonna learn compassion there.
Also, in regards to lil boy that killed them. Is it justice if he knew all along he was going to die and was prepared to do so? You think he really killed them people and thought he'd get away with it? This probably isn't anything he didn't want or expect. He's like a suicide bomber.
Education needs to be a deeper conversation. What happened during your childhood? Who taught you to think like that? What trauma are you holding on to? People like this are clearly sick in the head. Instead of killing off the symptoms of that sickness we should try healing the root cause of it. Feel me?
Yeah many socieities are going backwards. I advise against having children until further notice
It is a celebration when certain people die idk about you
Fr. Man y’all should see some funerals in some parts of the world. Literally have armed security at em so the deceased’s opps cant come & stomp the yard on buddy grave in front of his mom. I’m telling ya.
I know in some crazy ass countries, sometimes the deceased’s enemies try to overpower the funeral & flip the corpse on its stomach while it’s being buried (if you’re buried that way, you supposedly go to hell ASAP).
I don't, at least as far as the death penalty is concerned. You call it fighting fire with fire; I call it symmetrical punishment. The idea that all life is sacrosanct and death for certain crimes is wrong is childish nonsense -- if you walk into a church and murder a bunch of innocent people, you deserve the firing squad.
To use taxpayer money to house, feed, and protect someone like that is nothing more than bureaucratic moralism.
This will be a controversial example, but hopefully we're capable of following the idea and not getting caught up in emotional reactions...
That punk who killed several people in a church is officially going to be executed. In one way, good. He's a piece of s*** who has zero remorse and is clearly f***ed in the head.
On the other hand, is it not a little...strange to you when you see all the people cheering over the decision? Not that it's hypocritical but just kind of... Idk. Acting like it's a celebration or something to see another human killed, even if what he did was f***ing wrong. Doesn't it feel like we're fighting fire with more fire? Doesn't it feel a little primitive to you? Morbid?
And as a society we never get to the "deeper" conversations to be had in situations like this. We never grow or learn from it, we just move onto the next day's trauma. It always stays kinda unresolved and pushed into the corners of the mind until something similar inevitably happens again. It's like a hellish cycle with zero self-reflection along the way.
Or am I the weird one?
Bruh society been f***ed. There were genocides, rapes, everything under the sun before our generation and I’m sure there will be more after our generation. Welcome to earth.
I'm happy I'm not the only one that still uses this phrase
I use it too Timmy burner
