Ok so I'm 22 and I'm in a similar situation. I've started to make some improvements but there's a lot of years that I've lost, a lot of experiences that I've missed out on. I wish I could be 16 and start to make progress at an earlier age. Now I'm finishing college so meeting people will be even harder, especially since I don't have any social circles.

So my advice to you OP is to start working on yourself now. Don't obsess over it but try to build friendships, social circles, etc. now that it's easier. At least practice in HS so you can start college right.

I wish I realized that nothing really matters earlier and that I'd had taken more chances. Being shy and introverted really hindered my progress as a human being.

About the prostitute thing you've mentioned, it's a valid option but you should wait until you're 19-20 imo, depends on how things go for you in college.
