Hey i got the same problem as you OP lmfao

Mine comes and goes throughout the years though i been dealing with my current session for 4 years now

Its much easier as an adult than as a child

Wow, that’s interesting! Does it tend to occur more when you’re anxious or depressed? Has it ever affected your self esteem in any way?

So cool you & I have same problem

I did when I was a kid. And it just disappeared. Now I think I talk too fast

Interesting! Do your friends understand your situation or do they still find it weird? So happy you found a girl that doesn’t seem to mind beautiful!!

OMG that’s so funny about the drinking thing. I deadass used to do the same thing when I was really self conscious of my stutter. Just get really drink & talk to girls then awful habit lol

Man tbh I don't have much, really any friends.

I have coworkers but they're not my friends tho and I never told anyone my situation at all

Ah man, I’m sorry if you ever need someone to talk to Plz feel free to to DM me. I’m about to follow you rn. I think honesty is key. Once you get the fact that you stutter out there, Sinatra’s of not hiding it, that will in turn make you a lot less anxious. Hang in there King

I stuttered a lot when I was little, had to do speech therapy for a while but it's gotten better as I've aged. Only really comes out if I haven't slept in a while

Never tried speech therapy so dumb. The only one who really knows the best ways to overcome is yourself cause it’s such a unique trait. Does it ever cause any self esteem issues for you or are you pretty confident with it?

Man did y’all ever see King’s Speech? Such a wonderful film

  • Nov 3, 2020

How do I put it, my mind has so much ideas that I can't process it fast enough when I'm talking. I see Kanye has the same issues.

It def gets worse when im anticipating which sound i’ll have trouble getting through

I used to be embarrassed of it when i was a kid but as i started stuttering as an adult i found that most people dont notice it and when they do you just let them know you have a stutter and then you continue the conversation

Its not embarrassing anymore, just an occasional annoyance

You & I literally have the same exact mindset about our stutter now. That’s amazing. So happy you’ve learned to accept & get comfortable with it as an adult. So beautiful

So glad it’s improved for you & dude I totally get that about not wanting to talk. When I’m stoned or not in the mood to deal with my stutter I usually just hang in the back & observe the room instead of talking

I find headphones are a very comforting thing for me as well. I have always had them around my neck. I found solace in knowing I can turn off the conversation when I want & not be annoyed to talk once I place my headphones on

I stutter a little bit sometimes. I started deliberately stuttering much worse than I typically do a couple years ago and it helped me get over the insecurity it caused me.

Oh that’s a great strategy! Did you have to get through some pretty awkward moments when you started stuttering deliberately? I really admire this

I have a bit of a reputation as someone who is always joking around so some people pick up on it and laugh at it. I usually pretend to get angry and accuse them of making fun of my "disorder". Which is always fun when new people are around because it makes my friends look like a******s and I think that's funny.
