Or is it only down hill from here?
When I think about it. I wouldnt be surprised if Jay put kendrick on the superbowl
To ensure that the momentum carries on for at least the first half of 2025.
Like If Drake was to make a comeback is pretty much defaulted to Spring/Summertime 2025.
Homiie better be in the studio loading the f*** up. Also I think his age plays a factor oo, There would of been a natural decline. But this year speed ran it for him.
No
He will still be very successful, he’s not gonna fade into obscurity.
But he’ll exist in that Em sphere from now on. Still putting up respectable numbers for an artist 20 years in, but nobody is really ranking them as the #1 guy anymore
Yesterday he was the #1 streamed rapper in the world, ahead of #2 Kendrick Lamar despite Kendrick dropping an album recently
what is pre-2024 dominance? he was most streamed rapper every month this year
do you mean will he get another #1 hit again?
The other question too is. How is this gonna affect the landscape?
Will it be better or worse without one dude being the clear cut "Top Dog"
Does this open the game up for other people. Evolution? New artist's? New regions and cities rising to prominence? New sounds?
Next year is prolly gonna be the most interesting year in hip hop since the shift from Jay-Z Kanye Em to Drake Kendrick n Cole n the internet era back in 2009/2010/2011
He may need to take a break. He released 20+ songs and features over the summer. all flopped
I don’t see Drake gaining any new fans beyond this point or having a sudden career resurgence but he’s going to be the most popular hip hop artist for the majority of the 2020s if not beyond

no album all year 2025 we feast

We’ll see if the battle has a lasting effect on consumer taste but I’d bet it will. Last time we saw such a huge pivot was in ‘07 with 50 vs Ye. The general sentiment I feel is that people are burnt out with the current landscape (Lil Baby’s next album will be indicative of that) and there will be a shift in demand
You guys are still doing this when Drake himself blew up the label’s spot for inflating streams?
Nah. That s*** was clipped the moment he ran to lawyers. Nigga is way too corny for that and it's viewed as an extremely wack move. On top of that, I highly doubt his label and Spotify are gonna prop him up the same as they used to after he's tried suing them, blowing up their spot.
Drake lost.

What does that have to do with the fact that Drake is the most streamed rapper this year - every single month as well, despite Kendrick reaching his career peak?

Re-read this and tell me what the connection between inflated streams and being the most streamed might be
Nah that's over. He should be commended for maintaining that status into his late 30s, many others faded long before that
Dude gonna enter his jay z/eminem legacy act era in next couple years

Lol this is a crazy take

Yup it feels like a shift is coming
Now is the time to do it too.
Drake is about to be 40 years old.
A 40 year old running hip hop don't make no damn sense.
NLU just sped up the inevitable
Here they go
I think ther is something behind the scenes . Like a drake ktt discord wher they @ everyone when theres a new thread ? If thats possible, i bad at discord .
Lol this is a crazy take
dude is 38, even before this beef he was headed towards his expiration date
The L just sped it up, he hit the nitro boost with this lawsuit
