Eminem has the greatest legacy of any rapper. Slim Shady to Eminem Show/8 Mile run was bigger than anything any rapper has ever accomplished. This includes Kanye, Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, although their peaks were close.
Encore he loses steam a bit, got too cocky/hubris and 'did a whole song but i didnt say s***' attitude began his downfall.
The guy then loses his BEST friend since childhood to a senseless murder, almost dies himself OD'ing on d****, etc
Then comes BACK within 5 years and drops a crazy horrorcore concept album with flows even the internet Eminem haters give props to.
Mainstreamwise Relapse failed, so the guy comes back WITHIN a year and goes Forever verse (EVERYONE loved it at the time, even if looking back its ... nuts they go.. macadamia.. uhh ok)
THEN HE DROPS LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE
BILLION youtube views, #1 on the charts for WEEKS
so he is able to RECAPTURE mainstream success and become global number 1 rapper again?
Okay then he finds success in this SHOUTY/lil wayne esque punchline metaphor s*** and takes off with it. Rapping about his confidence is back, etc
This period was honestly a little wack by Eminem standards and probably his lowest era
After Recovery, Eminem is not that good on his albums but the INSANE HATE is pretty much a meme/groupthink hive mind
And then Kamikaze was AITE and okay
but then he starts killing his features, and his flow is trending upward
MUSIC TO BE MURDERED BY is some FIRE. like a 7.5/10
For him to be on his FOURTH decade and drop something of this quality. mad respect to his love for the rap game. mad respect for him essentially building his way back up again as an artist
I definitely look forward to his next project, I think he is in a great place
Slim shady the goat!
Man made Stan. Impossible
Reused dido chorus made half the song, other half is p mediocre storytelling

He made an album better than jay e in 2020 so that has to count for something
You're comparing trash to worse trash
eminem is somewhere around the #10 spot OAT. could he have been a contender for #1? yes but he dropped the ball hard
eminem could release a dumpster truck full of garbage, which he has, and the gems that he has are worth more than most.
i personally think that eminem's best music is not behind him, but will be in front of him.
i hope that he takes his clout as an opportunity to collaborate with people from all different walks of music.
-BRAVE.
Tarnished?... did he commit a f***ing crime I don’t know about?
(If you say his albums you’re corny)

Em is still a highly respected rapper tho. Just ask other highly respected rappers most of them still have him top 10. Plus Em is f***ing 47 how many 47 year old rappers are putting out critically acclaimed albums these days
