I kind agree with you but the issue with your statement, and the reason is kinda off is because Eminem has the greatest legacy of any rapper. Slim Shady to Eminem Show/8 Mile run was bigger than anything any rapper has ever accomplished. This includes Kanye, Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, although their peaks were close.

Encore he loses steam a bit, got too cocky/hubris and 'did a whole song but i didnt say s***' attitude began his downfall.

The guy then loses his BEST friend since childhood to a senseless murder, almost dies himself OD'ing on d****, etc

Then comes BACK within 5 years and drops a crazy horrorcore concept album with flows even the internet Eminem haters give props to.

Mainstreamwise Relapse failed, so the guy comes back WITHIN a year and goes Forever verse (EVERYONE loved it at the time, even if looking back its ... nuts they go.. macadamia.. uhh ok)

THEN HE DROPS LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE

After Recovery, Eminem is not that good on his albums but the INSANE HATE is pretty much a meme/groupthink hive mind

For him to be on his FOURTH decade and drop something of this quality. mad respect to his love for the rap game. mad respect for him essentially building his way back up again as an artist
