Am I just an adult now or what
Sorry to bother you was nice but idk that was 2 years ago am I bugging or sleeping lmk 👂
Impractical Jokers out now
One of the funniest shows on TV right now but haven’t seen the movie yet. Heard mixed things
Honestly I think we're at a pretty high point for comedy.
Booksmart came out last year and is phenomenal. The whole crazy-things-happening-over-one-night movie genre is really hitting its stride, Blockers was pretty great. Game Night was fun. Taika Waititi is doing amazing stuff too. Idk man, I'm not sure I agree with you.
I get what you’re saying. It doesn’t seem like we get as many theatrical comedy film releases that are original as we used to.
I think a lot of comedy films now are sent to the deep dark pits of the streaming world rather than going theaters. With less promotion on streaming, we don’t always hear about those movies coming out.
At this point, the success of original comedy releases is dependent on word of mouth, so they have to have a perfect combination of name stars and a great writing to do well financially which doesn’t happen often. Most studios are not will to take that risk. So fewer movies.
nah you're right its been happening for a while now. Asked the same question a couple years ago and even looked it up. Im pretty sure this was the article i had found : latimes.com/entertainment/movies/la-ca-mn-comedy-box-office-struggles-20180622-story.html
But that was just the state in 2018
There's def a downsizing of what we knew to be a "comedy movie" in part because a lot of them don't make money. studios not looking at em anymore. At this point we just get the genre altered and spread into other genres.
i dont want no mid if i want to laugh out loud ill go to a comedy show
Seems like this has been the move for a while now

Fasho. A lot of comedy flicks be dry with some chuckles sprinkled in
Nah you’re 100% right OP don’t listen to the 16 year olds in this thread tryna act like one decent comedy like booksmart means comedy is at a “high”.
These kids don’t know the comedies that 2000-2012 provided
movies just arent funny anymore, the last pure comedy film I really enjoyed was This Is The End I think, which was like what 2013.
Bro those of us that grew up 2000-2012 we really got
The Will Ferrel movies
The Seth Rogen/Jonah Hill/James Franco movies
The Owen Wilson/Vince Vaughn comedies
The Ben Stiller movies
Then on top of those categories we got:
And I know I’m forgetting more holy f*** are you S***TING me?! All these in 12 years?
I think political correct culture had to do it I mean that got people to believe book smart was an actual funny movie when it wasn’t. Plus movie studios don’t want to make gamble on original funny movies anymore I mean for 5 years in the 2010’s I feel like we got nothing but Kevin hart teaming up with a bigger serious actor like the rock or ice cube. I also believe comedians aren’t really wanting to make movies anymore they’re more into doing stand up’s and shows. Come to think about it I feel like the last good comedy movies were thor ragnorak or Deadpool
Who has PC culture career ruined for y’all to believe that PC culture ruined comedy movies?
Bro those of us that grew up 2000-2012 we really got
