The Weeknd is the most streamed artist of 2020 and Blinding Lights is literally bigger than any Bruno song ever. What are you on about?

After Hours is better post-Trilogy if you count it as pop. 24k Magic has a slight edge on BBTM and Starboy IMO because it's so tight and listenable, but that's not enough to beat After Hours, which is my third favorite behind HOB and EoS.

Blinding Lights is 1x platinum while Uptown Funk is Diamond + 1 million. Keep in mind Uptown Funk's competition was STACKED yet Blinding Lights was up against Roddy Rich, Travis Scott & Cardi B and would be dethroned on and off again by all of them and many more while Uptown Funk continuously held off the industry for months on end. As for most streamed of the year I would hope so considering he released an album and Bruno hasn't, really fair comparison there.

Also Bruno’s music is far more accessible lyrically. He doesn’t say anything off putting or controversial, whereas Weeknds whole aesthetic is based on being extremely toxic and dark and his persona/videos are usually horror inspired. So, I don’t think it’s fair to say Bruno is who The Weeknd wants to be.
