    Not really fair because Uptown Funk has also been out for years

    Blinding Lights is now the longest top 5 charting hit since the streaming age started and surpassed any Bruno song, including Uptown Funk

    Also Bruno’s music is far more accessible lyrically. He doesn’t say anything off putting or controversial, whereas Weeknds whole aesthetic is based on being extremely toxic and dark and his persona/videos are usually horror inspired. So, I don’t think it’s fair to say Bruno is who The Weeknd wants to be.

    Nah you don't understand he's watch Korean horror KINO so that means his next album will be DARK and borderline experimental instead of 10 or 15 Love to Lays or Lonely Nights with a sad song at the end

    I always felt like the 24k Magic was missing something, I wished I liked Bruno more. Maybe I need to listen again, cuz it just didn't connect with me.

    I do think that Uptown Funk was more popular than any Weeknd song, but I've never gone out of my way to hear it but still listen to the Weeknd's hits off BBTM and Starboy regularly

    The streaming era kicked off in 2013 when "Harlem shake" went no. 1 with just streams...uptown funk dropped 2 years deep into the streaming era

    blinding lights already cemented itself as one of the biggest songs of all time in under a year

    yeah but uptown funk isnt explicitly bout cocaine, its a song that get played at weddings and s*** lmao. Starboy and Cant Feel my Face are legit about that s*** lol. Nobody would ever play a Weeknd song at a wedding except maybe a club mix of Blinding Lights

    There ain't a skip in 24k Magic, Weeknd albums got 6 skips minimum tbh. What is a low low on 24k? Maybe the title track but that's it.
