I see no lies in OP.
Weeknd latest s*** was so overrated. Haven’t gone back to it once.
id rather listen to after hours over any bruno album, and this is coming from a longtime bruno fan that loves his music
re-listened to 24k today, still a great pop album. I like it better than BBTM and Starboy as an album; catchy, well mixed, and fat free, these are pop songs that are soundly constructed on a composition and production basis. It shows Bruno's growth as a songwriter.
But if we compare 24k to After Hours, I'd pick After Hours any day of the week, I think Abel really broke through with his songwriting chops with that record, and managed to bridge the gap between his pop songwriting and his darker sound that first put him on the map, delivering a cohesive yet diverse album statement (and don't get me started on the excellent visuals!).
24k, as great, and cohesive as it is, is not an album statement, but rather a collection of great tracks in the sonic pallette of mid 80's to early to 90's synth-funk and r&b
You would have to talk to weeknd to get a sense of his appreciation for the musical eras he samples in his music, it really doesnt come out in the music itself, especially the non-singles
With bruno you can just hear it in every album cut it jumps out at you
album? maybe
singles? hell yeah
Bruno's music sounds so f***ing milquetoast, can't get into that s***.
Chris Brown > Bieber > Weeknd >>>> Bruno
guess it's not easy since half of them look exactly like this
Ive seen you post this picture at least 5 times this week
What exactly are you trying to prove?
That he has ugly white fans?
Literally every artist does
Why is it the stans of other artists thats are always the biggest haters
The resident Ty Dolla stan cant go 6 posts without hating the weeknd
Drake stans that are still upset about their differences take it upon themselves to beef with the weeknd online
Chris Brown stans complain he only makes pop! Which is extremly ironic and shows a lack of self awareness
You spend more time hating the weeknd than you do listening to Ty Dolla Sign
Thats so sad!
Nah he doesn't
Bruno can sing his ass off Abel can't
bruno is probably a better singer but BBTM has better beat selection overall and is more diverse

he found it funny once & can't let it go

Lmao imagine being so upset your favorite artist is only seen as a feauture artsist that you go to another artists reddit and look for photos of their fans to post on another forum

very well said
Idk man, this is so stupid
On the one hand yes Bruno fans are probably more vanilla, and Weeknd fans are more artsy..SO???
Yes the Weeknd could make his music more accessible while still retaining the atmospheres he uses, but that doesn't mean SELL OUT
24K Magic is a really great pop album, its really basic to some of yall CAUSE ITS POP but damn those songs are good
The Weeknd's stuff is way more acquired taste, but After Hours came off generally well received, if he just made his style more upbeat I could see more people flocking to him.
IMO Weeknd doesn't have one yet, he has to make POP, not what he's doing now. Still love the man tho
Nah bro you don't understand
Abel's understanding of postmodernist French arthouse cinema is unparalleled. With all that knowledge in his brain he was able to make an album about how he f***s b****es and does d**** and gets sad about it, it's really complicated subject matter, probably hard for you to understand. You'll get there one day
Pple who comment like this always come off more corny and pretentious than the pple they’re trying to make fun of
