Ofc they do, but a lot of people are still taking convenience and supply regardless. The small towns in the south have local places at corner stores or town shops, other than that you got corporate chains placing stores all around

Haven't witnessed that at all. most people who try to shoplift at local businesses get chased after and beaten up or arrested. Police don't mess around when it comes to stuff like that.

The chain stores/corporations are the problem, they invite this type of behavior to happen.

I’m torn.

The way some people egregiously steal in front of employees is disrespectful. People get protective of their store, even if it’s dumb. You spend so much time in a place, it becomes like a home to you.

On the other hand, in todays age I really don’t think stealing from mega corps is the worst thing you can do. So many people out here underpaid and struggling while these corporations take advantage of every person and law they can to rack in more for themselves.
