Yeah employees aren’t supposed to chase shoplifters. Even security not supposed to over do it. If I remember correctly, if something happens you can get sued or some. Plus it’s a matter of safety. You don’t know who’s waiting on the outside, who they riding with, what they got on them etc.
Corporations have insurance and factor in losses due to theft so chasing people isn’t worth it in the slightest.

Yeah, most, if not all, corporations are evil, but, at least to me, being evil doesn’t suddenly mean that you lose your right to your own property.
Also, I’ve heard most of the time the stress the shoplifting puts on the corporation eventually gets placed back on the people, be that the workers or the community, in some way or another.
I deny that I might not be seeing a certain angle that others are, but to me it’s just a simple case of two wrongs not making a right.There's a lot of junkies both in America and ktt (And its on the rise)so this could be a partial explanation
