He was in rare form when he made Doris. I still don't see the appeal in his lazy flow era music
I feel like Doris lacked a ton in the substance department, there was so much I was excited for Earl to talk about and he just didn’t a lot of the songs on it aren’t really about anything, not a bad album though.
I Don’t Like S*** I Don’t Go Outside isn’t the lazy flow at all its actually the most energetic hes rapped post Samoa, lyrically stronger and a lot more introspective and personal.
Some Rap Songs I can see how it doesn’t appeal to everyone but to me is his best album. The song writing on that is so vulnerable, introspective, and also witty. He talks about a lot of relatable s*** on that album and the production is great. Classic album imo
And I’d even take EARL over Doris, both lack in the substance department but Earl’s rapping is way way more energetic on it.
So Doris is my 4th favorite Earl project , still a good album
Gorgeous. Chrome plated horse whip
Hate that song, that song goes absolutely nowhere topically the rapping is more monotone than almost any of the some rap songs songs that get called monotone
I liked the original version over the Chuck Inglish beat because he had more energy
Hey #1 Earl fan checking into the thread to tell you you’re not wrong but all Earl albums are also created equal

I’m not wrong about my critiques of it
The song goes nowhere topically and its very monotone

Had Vince rapping like he had his life on the line
Jay Rock on money trees type of stuff
best is arguable, it’s definitely a good album and my fav by him. i’ve got a ton of nostalgia surrounding it cuz i got as one of those OF stans who was anticipating that s*** like the second coming of Christ lmfao.
i used to like I Don’t Like S*** a little more, but I think Doris will always hold a higher place in my heart. i enjoy everything Earl has released tho
