I actually wish this was so successful that they made just a JRPG series set in the DB universe and not a retelling of the OG story. A line similar to Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy but more Dragon Quest & Ni No Kuni.

I’m aware I don’t have to buy the game. My question was more to ask why haven’t we gotten more original stories (basically exactly what you asked for in your post above) not to trash the game. Especially since I know next to nothing about it.
