Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with being generic story wise. It reminds me of a Saturday morning Anime like Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh. It’s just I felt a bit too old for it maybe

Had Dragon Quest 6 on the DS as a kid. Was a fun game. Started 11 and haven't finished it yet but its great because i've been missing those standard JRPG games that really gives you just what you want. No extra mechanics, pandering with girls or anything else.

playing the demo for 11 right now. already want to cop the full game but imma finish the demo first

Starting the demo for the latest on Switch. Apparently it’s 10hrs or something and progress carries over to the full game. I hope this one appeals to me. I need a good JRPG.

Hero: Sword
Erik: Boomerang

But I don’t know what I should choose for Serena & Veronica 🤔

Also is it possible to reset and how?

Hero big sword
Erik double daggers
Vero staff buff/debuff/elements
Serena wand & shield /healer

I don't like the battle system. Looks fine, some of the best character modeling I've ever seen with those beautiful Akira Toriyama designs.

Been playing the last few days, great game so far

DQ XI S is just fantastic man. Nothing better than a good JRPG

Add to that on Series X the game is loading too fast to even read more than a few words in the tips

welp just caught covid so i might try to see how many Dragon Quest games i can beat chronologically in 10 days

playing through 1 RN as my first dragon quest via Switch version and i was having a lot of fun lalst night grinding

i just thought my Dragon Quest save was deleted for a second had a heart attack

just beat Dragon Quest 1 as my first Dragon Quest

played the mobile versions on Switch cuz i was not about to grind hella on the OG lol

it was pretty dope and honestly addicting
