Its a great game. Especially if you like traditional jrpgs.

dragon quests are chill as f*** with some good story moments and grinding every now and then, if that sounds up your alley

I had no clue the definitive edition got a console release and no free upgrade I know it’s free but on principle 🏴‍☠️

Downloaded XI S and got to where you meet Erik, so far just been spamming X in fights. Does it get harder to the point where u might have to grind to beat bosses or is this like pkmn where the gameplay isn't meant to be difficult?

typical to the JRPG genre, it starts out hella easy and then ramps up and gets harder in general once you’re past the beginning. you’re still super early on rn

DQ is meant to be played on auto battle until strategy really matters like boss battles n side bosses mainly.

you skip all the text prompts and get through. attles super quick. then the boss battle happens and you def need to think .

also check out the draconic settings and tweak a few to make leveling slower.

Base difficulty is very easy, if u are looking for challenge turn on the draconian settings and I hear that it’s actually quite brutal
