Still crazy that a 4000 series card can’t just power through it, but from what I’ve been reading the game is mostly cpu intensive. You could throw a 4090 at it and still get disappointing results if your cpu isn’t decent.
yeah people who skimped on their cpu definitely been taking L’s recently, starfield and bg3 are the same way on pc
the devs are definitely relaying this to Sony and Microsoft because it was leaked that the ps5 pro will have a cpu overclock mode and I bet the new Xbox refresh will do something similar
40 fps average when walking around on Series X
Guess I know where I’m buying it, with VRR I can imagine it’ll probably feel pretty smooth.

4080 with an I9 using DLSS 2 at 4k is barely getting above 100
The RE Engine is super scalable, I wonder what they did to make it so CPU heavy.
A $600 card can’t even get 100fps at 1080p
I really wonder what about the game makes it so heavy?? It’s not bad looking visually but it’s definitely not boundary pushing. I guess it’s just super CPU heavy.
Reviews are making me a bit hesitant. Might wait a few months and just buy Prince of Persia or something else on discount.

Yeah seems like it’s not a game for everyone but it has some stuff in it you won’t see anywhere else.
Is this a souls type game?
This year just won’t let up.
I’m only a little halfway through Rebirth and still have Persona 3:R to get through before this.
Bought Dragons Dogma 1 the other day and it has the worst UI ive possibly ever seen.
my ryzen 7 won't let me down

i couldn't go through it it's so outdated feeling and looking

It's cpu bound
That’s max settings, I’m sure you can just turn a few things down from very high to high and get 120 easily
we’re eating
Not much difference with gfx settings in terms of fps cuz it's cpu bottleneck not gpu. Seen one where changing from 1440p/max to 1080p/low only resulted in 6~ fps gain. Hopefully patch fixes the issue
I never played Dragons Dogma 1. Should I still cop this?
Yeah. From what I understand it's kind of a reboot anyway.
And personally I thought DD1 was jank af but this looks sick.
Xbox Series S: Dynamic 1440p/~35fps with temporal reconstruction and unlocked framerate
Xbox Series X: Dynamic 2160p/~40fps with temporal reconstruction and unlocked framerate
Playstation 5: Dynamic 2160p/~38fps with temporal reconstruction and unlocked framerate
can we not just get a 1440p @ 60fps mode? are the consoles that f***ed?
