Post MBDTF - now is peak experimental Ye, but a lot of those albums suck really bad (JIK, Ye) or are boring (TLOP)

808s was out there but it doesn't exist with out Timbo's sound, JT's sound, Tpain's sound and Cudi's sound so how much credit can we really give to Kanye

I just remember 808s sounding so different and new and weird from normal rap when I was young same s*** happened with Yeezus

I prob think highly of those two specifically from his discography cuz I liked em both so much.

Lost in the World is an experimental track. And it's also better than every song Drake has made.

Take Care a classic but it's rnb and rap. yah overthinking it. it's not experimental at all. especially for Drake

a 25 second frank interlude carried the entire album

  • Dec 5, 2019

Also you're crediting the wrong ppl for 808's

It was mainly influenced by 80's synthpop, 70's electronic and post punk

drake doesnt get any credit for experimenting because when he does, that s*** goes straight #1

like if kanye or frank decided to use nola bounce to make their singles, yall wouldve called them creative geniuses expanding into other genres but it's silent for drake lol

Tbh when it came out I thought so too

But then I listened again and realized I was dead wrong and it's been one of my fav albums ever since

Listen to it with an open mind and see how it all clicks

Pharrell did it a whole year before with Rihanna. You aren’t experimenting if you’re just following industry trends you stupid Canuck

  • Dec 5, 2019

Too many posters won't give drake any credit, but if you ask a lot of the new school rappers they'll point out that drake is/was a huge influence on them.

  • Sounds nothing like a 40 beat

  • Dec 5, 2019

No one said it was cutting edge lmao

    S*** just great, honest music
And that’s why people fw him

Y’all make music out to be this high-art competition when Drake been making simple ass music for 10 years and everyone still listens

lol it's not experimenting if the sound your using is not that different from the sound ppl are accustomed to. however I agree ye and frank sometimes get passes just for experimenting and not delivering. Nola bounce aint that farfetched of a sound for drake.

No I wouldn’t dude. I like both in my feelings, lemon, and nice for what.

I’m just saying it wasn’t experimental and you’re b****ing like the soft Canuck you are
