i always kinda thought dvsn music was mid/corny so they're lack of success doesn't scream label failure to me

dvsn was making old-school r&b when no one else was, now it's a trend

it didn't sound good to me though and i didn't like his voice feel like regardless of the trend execution matters

their latest one was not it at all... chasing the whole corny "toxic" trend and some of their worst music

No one’s hated on Drake more than me, especially after the Kendrick beef, but y’all have internally normalized mid if you think these new projects are mediocre. Especially for Drake in the 20’s…

i felt like it initially had threads of that stuff in there and i felt like the last one was just more out, but i was prob a bit dismissive to begin with. also have a bit of suspicion with certain rnb lyrics but its just endemic to the genre. I know a lot of people liked it so not trying to write it off but feel like a lack of marketing wasn't the biggest issue. it was better than some of the stuff at the time

do feel like for the quality of music overall though, the acts on the label don't seem to really be super forward like they could be but not sure why. naomis music is great for example
