I don't really remember where I got that info from.

I remember Daniel doing an interview with Mal and some rumors here and/or on Reddit.

I am still a dvsn fan and will also listen to their music outside of OVO as long as it is good.

Didn’t even realize they’re no longer OVO, wow.

I won’t get into logistics neither will I get messy with it here … too much chatty patty’s tbh but it’s a bit deeper than this but you’re on the right path

What was their man problem? Even if OVO is s***, Jordan should thank Drake for signing Naomi. jk jk

i think he wants some type of owner ship in gamma

Hah, you didn’t see that fool standing on top of the world innovating stage design a month ago?

Drake dropped a 3 pack of mid drake albums.
The only saving grace were the visuals, Gillis, and the fact that maid of honor was up beat.

The coolest thing about Ye is his stages. Don’t even get me started on how lame the BULLY rollout was, not to mention it was already out a year ago he just deleted it after.

It’s a reason every concert he’s had after DONDA ends up as a greatest hits show

i always kinda thought dvsn music was mid/corny so they're lack of success doesn't scream label failure to me

dvsn was making old-school r&b when no one else was, now it's a trend

dvsn was making old-school r&b when no one else was, now it's a trend

it didn't sound good to me though and i didn't like his voice feel like regardless of the trend execution matters

old school feels like a vague stretch but i kinda get wym

They had a solid run the first few years, but after 2020 I feel like their s*** got less interesting.

oh no not a greatest hits run of some of the biggest songs ever created.

Doesn’t change the fact that he couldn’t do a show in the 20’s without having to make at least half the setlist songs that are now all a decade old.

His new stuff isn’t strong enough to pull its own weight, be so for real.

dvsn first two albums are classics

their latest one was not it at all... chasing the whole corny "toxic" trend and some of their worst music

  • May 16

No one’s hated on Drake more than me, especially after the Kendrick beef, but y’all have internally normalized mid if you think these new projects are mediocre. Especially for Drake in the 20’s…

i felt like it initially had threads of that stuff in there and i felt like the last one was just more out, but i was prob a bit dismissive to begin with. also have a bit of suspicion with certain rnb lyrics but its just endemic to the genre. I know a lot of people liked it so not trying to write it off but feel like a lack of marketing wasn't the biggest issue. it was better than some of the stuff at the time

do feel like for the quality of music overall though, the acts on the label don't seem to really be super forward like they could be but not sure why. naomis music is great for example
