I disagree about Drake making the same type of music as Frank but obviously Kanye was an inspiration in Drake’s career so there are some similarities notably earlier in his career, but I think the issue is people seem to think that only one type of music can be (what they perceive to be) objectively good. Imo just as it takes talent to craft a great conceptual project it takes talent to craft a project that you can put on at virtually any setting or around any group or people and it doesn’t miss a beat

TSU & Pipe Down are probably gonna go down as two of my favorite Drake tracks of all time. Yet this post CLB era leaves a bad taste in my mouth idk why. The way he dropped these tracks and just up and left like the album was nothing. No promo, music videos, nothing to make it last. If he took a hiatus like Kendrick it’s be different, but dudes still in the public spotlight yet CLB and it’s tracks seem like ages ago
