You realize most successful hedge funds have very informal recruiting structures and typically hire Ivy League kids that they know through family or other close friends in finance

Hedge funds in general are a dying breed anyway. Quant hedge funds are mainly computer science Ivy leaguers. Sales and Trading used to be a pipeline into commodity / prop hedge funds, but most banks are shutting down trading desks due to automation

Lol stop, with an econ degree you can never make your way to a hedge fund. You gotta do finance or FE or MBA or stats... The most you can do with econ degree related to hedge funds is macro forecasting but you'd have to be a real good. Econ majors are made for policy making.

the more success I have in one sphere, the more I always have in another
even when its seems they supposed to interfere with each other

time is actually very flexible

so the more you study, the more time you spend on your hobbies, meet people, make money, discover ideas etc

when all my day is free, I cannot even turn on my PS4, I become that lazy and the day passes into nowhere

but when I study, I just live better overall

anyway the main reason why you're not as successful as you wish is because you don't work hard enough

deeply think about your path in life and you'll probably realize that finishing uni is one of the checkpoints
