Album was a massive disappointment. Sucks because the live songs from this era are some of his best songs ever
When the crowd was dead when he was performing SICK! songs at terminal 5 I knew that the album fell flat and wouldn’t magically grow on anyone
I think my biggest gripe about the album is how all over the place it was. Having songs like 2010, Vision, and Titanic on the same tracklist as Old Friend, Tabula Rasa, and Fire in the Hole just seems so contradictory, and not in a pleasant way.. as if he was trying to merge two directions and instead of them resolving each other, they just end up making the differences more stark …
I really like a lot of moments, but as an album it just doesn’t amount to more than a compilation of individual songs for me.

He tried to subliminally let people know that there was a better album stored on a hard drive that he lost. I'd just chalk it up to that tbh
Really like old friend, tabula rasa, lye & fire in the hole, I like sick! the song too but yeah this is just a step above the earl mixtape for me at the bottom of his discog

Weird methodology if so lol

He literally said in interviews the album is what passing him the aux would be like and that he was diversifying. It's fair to say you don't like what he did on there but its intentional

No doubt ! I must not’ve clocked the interviews . In any case that’s the effect the songs had on me. Still some dope songs on there

Like this album, but maybe if it was longer/more songs the mixing of styles would work better

That's why I don't like Sick plain and simple, it wasn't coherent at all compared to Some Rap Songs. Earl did justice on all of the songs but they didn't mesh at all together in one project.
How you gonna put a watery Evilgiane beat and an dusty drumless Alchemist beat on the same project and make that s*** make sense?

The evilgiane song from vegas and the the unreleased songs from the alchemist show smh, album would’ve been amazing

Agreed.

That’s what I’m sayin ! I obviously commend him for being ambitious, but it just doesn’t come off great imo.. wish he stuck with one direction and explored it fully
@YoungNastyShawty my nigga where is the earl interview you said we might get
