People get a train run on them by capitalism their whole lives and still out here trusting a billionaire because they aren't a corporation lmao maybe it won't be a disaster but f*** Elon
Same people who don't trust the government suddenly trust a guy with arguably more unchecked power
This came to me in a dream last night but it's a major epiphany:
An African American owner of the largest social media company on earth. This is historic. 🤯
This reads like a tweet from a random blue check account that gets recommended to you

I feel like you making it way more serious than it is talking about trusting
he will own Twitter it's not that deep
If he f***s up Twitter the worst that happen is people who are online too much migrate to another site / app
And I say that as one of those people
Elon will say some s*** like "In the future all Tesla cars will be able to take carbon out of the atmosphere and turn it into useable electricity while you drive" and ya'll just take it at face value and believe him. But the second someone says "maybe he should help the poor" all of a sudden you losers start breaking out graphs and talking about logistics like it's the most unreasonable thing anyones ever said

Now that's a straw man
Musk says a lot of stupid s*** and there's a difference between doubting an NGO will stop world hunger with 7 bil and thinking he shouldn't help the poor. Who said that
TSLA shares down 9% right now
Elon bros I don't feel so good...
Damn Elon high key fell off . What happened to the hyper train thing
There was no profit to be made from that project at the moment. It’s still in development to some degree though.
Tesla & SpaceX are his main projects right now.
He is already rather spread thin, especially with Twitter rn

Used to it lol
Macro is down nearly 2% also
Think it has to do with the stock split rumor
I blew bird money, y’all talkin’ Twitter feed

I'm being hyperbolic. I'm not even in agreement that it's his responsibility to the solve the problem. I just think it's funny that Elon fans are totally willing to accept when he says he'll do something that he has no actual ability to do but lose it when someone suggests something he could actually do. It's fine to question a NGO's ability to end world hunger but the people doing that rarely question Elon's ability to do the things he says.

Finna skip dinner tonight but I know Elon got me tomorrow

How wouldn’t you make profit from a mode of transportation 1000s of people would use daily?

Tesla’s focus is exponential growth right now.
Creating some sort of high speed rail that requires new infrastructure cannot grow at the same rate & at the same margins EVs can.
(Mind you, Tesla sold 500k in 2020, and 900k in 2021, potentially 1.7m in 2022)
I’m sure Elon will circle back to it eventually

Yeah I mean 150 million a year is chump change to Elon. But it could scale with more lines and become its own company as a lot of people can’t afford plane tickets every day. Would also grow the job markets in the locales it goes to. I just think it could be as great of a business as ev when you scale it up for multiple lines and extensive locations. Elon has proven spending billions in a day is nothing so he could afford to build this. I’m also sure he could get government funding if he proved the viability of decreasing long commutes and getting people in the office even sooner. Also opening up the job pool to more candidates if the trains go to downtown areas
the ultimate hidden truth of the world is that is something we make, and could just as easily make differently

I just have an issue with people idolizing billionaires, especially the ones who see it as advantageous for their brand to put on a facade of relatability
There's a lot to be gained from taking ownership of a major communication platform and I think it's more than fair to be skeptical
how y’all sound dismissing the notion of ending world hunger
Elon Musk pays $44 bn for a company but can’t solve hunger or homelessness because he doesn’t have cash on hand
