Okay look, there’s some good stuff about this film. The cinematography, the acting from Barry and Rosamund, the score… but my issue is this film WANTS to be provocative. It WANTS to shock you, disgust you, and unsettle you but I think it fails because the shock, the provocation, it essentially means nothing. The film’s plot and themes begins to unravel when we have 30 minutes left and that’s when it gets weird. The tone is off and things stop becoming believable very quickly. Idk about this one, kind of have the same “empty” feeling I had with Promising Young Woman.
Beautiful to look at and Jacob Elordi is cool.

If you didn’t fw that movie you’ll most likely hate this cause it’s trying real hard to do the same shock gimmick but with a significantly worse storyWill not trust this based on ur avi alone .

WTF were those gross scenes :dead: and that ending :wink:. Cool shots but wished they explored Barry’s character more but I get the ending it was going for

i think that it’s so overly provocative and disgusting because that is the excess that the film is representing/criticizing
