Although I put them as equals, Eminem has proven his artistry a lot more than Jay-Z has in the span of 2 decades

Eminem produced and Wrote a whole classic “grown man” rap album by his self In 2002 compared to Jay’s “Grown Man” rap album in 2017 having different writers and a top producer.

Both albums are amazing and considered very Mature albums by these artists. And both artists are well respected in the rap industry but hardly any promo done by Jay-Z is solo singles or simple album announcements. Most releases of Hov albums are paired with hot artists or “Retirement” talk

Eminem has produced for a lot of rappers in the era from 99-04 with a few more in the later years.

The majority of feat. In Eminem album’s is from his camp, while Jay’s feats. are who’s hot in the moment.

I believe Jay Z is more respected as a business man rather than a rapper which is where my confusion lies when people put him as the better artist

Eminem is better at creating a plot/a character/an atmosphere for his songs. Most of Jay songs are the same bragging or crime stuff if his early albums. So yeah I agree

I'd rather listen to a bad Hov album then a mid Em album.
