Jay Z is like Drew Brees. Great longevity records, always in the top 5. But never #1. Em was bigger and better, BIG, Kanye, Wayne, Drake, hell even DMX for a few years was putting up bigger numbers.
I agree but KTT not gonna hear this one lol Jay has never and could never make a song like Stan.
Lucky Me > Stan

Why settle for Stan when you got D’Evils

Song Cry is just as good bro
Both are legends and among the best ever. But Jay is ahead of Em and it's not even up for discussion
I love TES but its hardly grown man in the same way 4:44 is.
capitalism raps for grown men only!
While I understand the point OP is tryna make. I'm still listening to Jay Z way more than Eminem

Word lmao and TES was the first album I ever purchased too. But an album with Business, DRIPS, Without Me, and My Dad’s Gone Crazy plus the Ken Keniff skit cannot be grown man rap lmao

facts and i love all those songs
Crazy thing is Nas has been a better artist than both for a long time and it gets overlooked.
Em and Jay both pandered to radio listeners and teenage girls with Blueprint 3 and Recovery to keep their careers afloat. Nas put out a "grown man" album in 2012 with no smash hit and it still went #1.
All three are top 10 DOA though. It really just boils down to preference.
