c mon :((((((((
Generous
I'm relistening to Music to Be Murdered By, which I haven't played since 2020, and honestly it's night and day between that album and this. Production is mostly horrible on MTBMB to me, lyrics are totally empty (apart from Darkness), Em is just going through the motions in terms of flows and performance, and the hook game is often horrible on this.
TDOSS has a few misses, but overall it's a whole other ballgame - production is often very fun, lots of hooks here that immediately burn their way into your memory, much more enjoyable lyrically, and even if its AI-altered the performance work here is far more appealing to the ear.
Like I said - day and night.

Hell: The Sequel
pretty cool how the album just loops from the ending of somebody save me:
" And farther in the ground that I sink
As they lower me in my coffin, I feel the tears all fallin' down on my cheek"
To the Intro Renaissance with Slim Shady rising from the grave
The eternal struggle
And the tear falling on his cheek could be Slim's spit
it's not about actually getting cancelled in reality. it's slim shady getting cancelled within the concept/world of this album. which he does in the skit after houdini and then gets killed in gc2. again this all in his mind not reality, hence why throughout its referencing that he's a dream like state
its very similar to mr. robot if you watched show, specifically the last couple of episodes where the mind creates these worlds when you have multiple personalities (alter ego)
Yea I get that, it’s just how often am I going to want to buy into all that and put these songs on? Like even if there’s a reason within the story for him to go on a diatribe about fat people, do I really want to hear it?
Fuel, Evil & Renaissance is some s*** I can revisit though
Look at them two little beautiful
Pewter gray poodles, how cute are they?
(Gunshots)
Well, looks like them pooches are screwed today

Yeah alot of this album kinda just gets stuck in your head which is what I love about it. Old Em albums use to do the same
this is funny she was presented like she was some kind of genius :) and paul is annoying
nothing against skylar grey but her music is really mid
Premo produced the 2 Chainz song. First time Em was on a premo beat.
And it sucked
