Anyone done this ?
I try to manage the situation as opposed to escape. I schedule things to do outside of work like volunteer work or sign up for leagues/classes. I spend alot of time with a few close friends. I spend alot of time guiding my lil siblings. I go on dates A well balanced life. S*** just not working. Im expected to be on call 24/7. I get phone calls on vacation/holiday and outside of work hours which I dont answer. Then it gets held against me when review time comes. I wake up at 5:30 to text messages of s*** that is due before I get to work. I basically am "cross trained" which means they trained me to do other peoples jobs so they can cut down on hiring backup.. My management is horrible and toxic. We have to work at the office despite all our jobs being on a laptop and their being corona cases at work. We had a building shutdown due to cases but they aint adjusting.. they just said we got sanitizer. WFH was denied several times. Yet when company needs overtime due to special circumstances im expected to drop the little bit of things I had planned after work and work till 7 or 8 pm.
Basically why dedicate my life to a job and receive not a slight consideration for my well being. Im looking to have a more flexible schedule .

I basically just be so exhausted and burned out after work if I'm not doing something productive I sleep until the next day

Quit man, I quit my 9-5 in July to start my own crypto thing. Cant imagine ever going back. Life is so much easier doing whatever I want now

The 9-5 grind isn't necessarily a bad thing if you're able to find a career you enjoy. That said, it sounds like you need a new job desperately at a company that respects the work-life balance.

Even little things like my personal mental health and physical health have gone done since im full time. Partially cause my culture. I would like a flexible schedule with mornings available.

Working part time so you can enjoy your actual life instead of running the rat race>>>

I'm officially a senior admin but upon getting my job and af the interview they said im officially a a***yst so I dont get compensated like one. Its on all my stuff as a***yst.. I merge and combine data from different departments to showcase problem areas in the company. Mind you I was only hired for one department but due to them cutting cost i help others out. Ive helped finance,safety and labor departments out.. When not doing that im logging in 100s of different data sheets or whatever. I have a large part of my job automated now so I used
the time to study at work or apply for other jobs or surf ktt.

I dont mind the job. I just really hate my management. Ive had a constant back and forth with them since I started .

Ehh I've always managed to get to where I want with the odds backed against me. So I dont believe that king .
